Bill earned his BA degree form the University of Chicago in 1962 and his JD degree from Chicago Kent College of Law in 1966. He has continuously practiced law since 1966. He served as a Federal Criminal Justice Act Panel attorney in the Northern District of Illinois, Northern District of Indiana and the Western District of Michigan.
The following pages explain more about his approach to drunk driving cases, criminal defense and business litigation. Bill comes from a family tradition of fine service in the law. His father Richard James Stevens practiced law in Illinois for 60 years. His uncle John Paul Stevens is a justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
